Train-Pedestrian Fatality In Downtown Battle Creek
Battle Creek Police were called to the train tracks, downtown, Monday afternoon, after a man had reportedly walked in front of a train. According to a release from the Battle Creek Police Department, officers arrived at the train crossing at McCamly, around 1:30 PM, to find a deceased, 33 year old male. A train engineer told officers they were unable to stop in time. The railroad crossing arms were functional and in the down position. Investigators are uncertain of the man’s motives.
