The Battle Creek Bombers returned home after sweeping the Kalamazoo Growlers and the Rockford Rivets, and look to do the same against the Green Bay Bullfrogs.

After trailing 5-1 through the first three innings the Bomb Squad crawled their way back with five unanswered runs, including two in the eighth, to earn a 6-5 victory over the Bullfrogs.

Winston Welch (Arkansas State) drove in four runs on the night for the Bombers (6-1), providing two of their seven hits. Nikola Vasic (McHenry Community College) scored three runs.

Andrew Click (Davenport) had another solid relief appearance, tossing two scoreless innings to move to 2-0 on the season. Zachary Helsel (Liberty) earned his first save in his third appearance on the season.

The win keeps the Bombers tied with the defending champion Wisconsin Rapids Rafters for the Northwoods League's South Division lead.

The two squads battle again Tuesday morning at 11am. It's Education Day at the ballpark!
