Michigan Department of Natural Resources has announced the schedule for volunteer stewardship workdays at State Parks for the month of March. 

They need volunteers to help clear invasive,non native shrubs at parks throughout Southwest Michigan.

Workday Dates, Locations and Times:

Southwest Michigan

Saturday, March 5: Fort Custer Recreation Area (Kalamazoo), 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Sunday, March 6: Yankee Springs Recreation Area (Barry), 1-4 p.m.
Saturday, March 12: Fort Custer Recreation Area (Kalamazoo), 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Saturday, March 19: Saugatuck Dunes State Park (Allegan), 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
Sunday, March 20: Warren Dunes State Park (Berrien), 1-4 p.m.

The DNR ask workers to bring appropriate clothing for outdoor work along with water to drink.   They also ask volunteers to register at the DNR website.
