Tuesday, May 3 is election day in Michigan. While many precincts will be quiet on Tuesday, some will be active, including in Calhoun County. Voters in Burlington Township will decide the future of their library.

Lakeview School District voters have two bond proposals which will shape the future of the district's facilities.

And in Albion, voters may well decide to dissolve their school district and allow it to become part of the Marshall Public Schools.

Monday on The Richard Piet Show, the Albion Board of Education chairperson Vivian Davis talked about what led the district to this point - challenges that are similarly felt in other districts including Battle Creek and Detroit - as well as what will happen if the measure is not passed.

Dr. Randall Davis, Marshall superintendent and former Albion Student Linda LaNoue discuss their perspectives on the measure as well.
