Before you put those drops in your eyes, you might want to double check them. According to a notice from the FDA, several eye drops that were sold at Walmart and Walgreens are being recalled because they may not be sterile. Altaire Pharmaceuticals Inc. is voluntarily recalling products under Walmart’s Equate brand which includes treatments for allergy relief, solutions, gel drops, and eye drops. The products that are being recalled under the Walgreens brand name include moisturizing eye drops, lubricant eye ointment, and sodium chloride ophthalmic ointment. You can click here to see the complete list of eye products that are being recalled at Walgreens.
