As the field of presidential candidates slowly whittles down, Western Michigan University professor of political science Dr. Peter Wielhouwer tells The Richard Piet Show you're probably going to check-out on the race. For a while, anyway.

The holiday season is the reason. Wielhouwer says unless you're a political junkie, the holidays will distract you from the race. Once the new year hits, he says, voters will tune back in. Then, the real pace starts to pick up on the way to the primary.
