If W.K. Kellogg Foundation CEO LaJune Montgomery Tabron's recent call to support Battle Creek Public Schools was the talk, one might say the recent Foundation announcement of $51 million for BCPS would be, then, the walk.

Similarly, Battle Creek Public Schools will have to walk-the-walk with the grant, and be accountable with results. That's the word from Ali Webb, director of Michigan programs at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.

As well, Webb tells 95.3 WBCK she expects that although the grant is meant to address specific items outside of the district's general fund, it will still boost the overall budget picture for the district.
