A week after the attack happened, the suspect in the fatal shooting of a Battle Creek businessman will be appearing in court.

The Battle Creek Enquirer reports that 47-year-old Brian Zanetti is expected to be in Calhoun County Court Friday in connection to the shooting death of his cousin, Frankie Zanetti. Brian was arrested last Saturday in suburban Chicago, after Battle Creek Police Officers said he was a suspect; charges were issued for open murder and weapons violations.

Police say that on Friday, May 5, a suspect entered the Battle Creek Tile and Mosaic Co. on W. Michigan Ave. in Urbandale, and asked for Frankie Zanetti, the co-owner of the store. When Zanetti approached the suspect, he was shot in the head and later pronounced dead. Police say that they did find a gun in the trunk of the suspect's car.

Brian Zanetti waived his extradition on Thursday, meaning he is now back in Michigan.
