(AP) Three groups working to end the use of the Flint River for the city's drinking water are hoping a petition with 26,000 signatures will show strong support for the change. Food & Water Watch, Water You Fighting For and the Coalition for Clean Water planned to deliver the petition Monday to Flint Mayor Dayne Walling and City Administrator Natasha Henderson. The petition asks city officials to reconnect the municipal water supply to the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department.
