Battle Creek Unlimited CEO Joe Sobieralski tells 95.3 WBCK that BCU's recent takeover of the oversight of 180Urban renovation projects in Battle Creek "make sense".

The Calhoun County Land Bank Authority had previously been overseeing progress on properties at 15 Carlyle Street, 64 W. Michigan Avenue and 119-121 W. Michigan Avenue. That oversight was transferred to Battle Creek Unlimited in February, after 180Urban missed progress deadlines set previously.

Sobieralski said the deadlines were "optimistic" considering the scope of work necessary, and that 180Urban is still committed to the projects.
