A two-day crack down period on Marijuana in Calhoun County has turned up around 1,200 plants among other items.

On Monday and Tuesday of this week, members of the Southwest Enforcement Team’s Domestic Cannabis Eradication & Suppression Program searched areas throughout the county for the illegal plant.

Also found was around five pounds of processed marijuana, seven guns and a large amount of grow equipment.

The Calhoun County Prosecutor will receive the cases for criminal charges.  This crackdown was a part of a federally funded program, to locate illegal marijuana grows.
