Emergency Manager Cuts

(AP) The emergency manager for Detroit Public Schools has closed the district's Office of Inspector General. Darnell Earley says other district departments will continue efforts to aggressively investigate reports of illicit activity. Wilbert Van Marsh, who was DPS inspector general from July 2010 to February 2014, says it's a mistake to close the office.
