Fatal Crash Investigated

One person was killed in a car crash in Calhoun County yesterday morning.  The crash was reported at around 10am when a passing driver saw the wreck on fire near the intersection of 13 Mile Road and S Drive North.

Deputies tried to get inside to try and rescue any survivors but were prevented by the extreme heat.  The Bellevue Fire Department eventually got the flames put out and the female driver was found dead.

The Calhoun County Accident Investigation Team is working to determine the cause of the crash.
