High School Football Game of the Night – Mendon at Climax-Scotts

There are only two Battle Creek area squads still playing in the Michigan High School Athletic Association football playoffs as we enter the District Finals.

We are proud to make our way to the west this week to Division 8 powerhouse Climax-Scotts, as the second-ranked Panthers host the Mendon Hornets in a battle of two storied squads in Southwest Michigan. It's a rematch of last year's District Semifinal. The winner will see Morenci (7-3) or Ottawa Lake Whiteford (10-0) in the Regional Finals next week.

The other area squad is in eastern Calhoun County, as the Homer Trojans will look for revenge against the Concord Yellow Jackets in a Division 7 District Final. The co-champs of the Big 8 squared off back in Week 2. The winner moves on to battle Gobles (8-2) or Cassopolis (9-1) .
