Man Armed with Machete Arrested in Battle Creek

A man armed with a machete was caught during a disturbance in Battle Creek yesterday. Police got a report of the man in the area of Dahlia Drive, near Beckley at around noon. Callers said the man was pounding on the door of an apartment waving the machete and yelling.  The man got into the apartment through a window and was found inside by responding officers. Investigators say the man had backpacks full of stolen merchandise from Walmart. He was arrested on suspicion of Home Invasion and receiving and concealing stolen property.
