Work on a building to house combined police resources in Marshall got a boost Tuesday when state authorities announced a grant to help fund construction.  The State Treasury announced a $1.3 million dollar grant yesterday for the Marshall Regional Law Enforcement Center.  The Law Enforcement Center will serve as a base for the Marshall Police Department, State Police and Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol.  The project will cost an estimated $14.1 million in total.  The Calhoun County Board of Commissioners voted in January to begin issuing capital improvement bonds to cover the cost.
