After sixty-seven years, Meyer’s Toy World in Battle Creek is closing up shop.  Fred and Patty Meyer, the second generation operators of the store, have announced their retirement and plan to close the store before Thanksgiving.  The store first opened in 1947 downtown and moved to North Avenue in 1955.

The Meyers wrote a letter to the community announcing their retirement.  You can read the letter on the Meyer's Toy World web site
