Two Wounded in Weekend Shooting

Police are still looking for whoever is responsible for a weekend shooting in Battle Creek.  The gunfire was reported on Walter Avenue at around 3:30 in the morning Sunday.  Police say that they found a 21-year-old man with gunshot wounds near the scene and sent him to Bronson-Kalamazoo in critical condition.  Another 21-year-old male victim with a minor gunshot wound turned up at Bronson-Battle Creek for treatment.  Investigators say the victims had been confronted by a group of people just before the shots, but at this time they don’t have a suspect in custody.
