Battle Creek Police responded to a call of a breaking and entry, early Sunday morning, in the 100 block of Upton Avenue.

The victims fled the house, and reported that three people wearing masks and carrying firearms had kicked in the front door.

Officers surrounded the house and were able to call two of the suspects out of the residence and were taken into custody. The last suspect attempted to hide in a crawl space in the basement. A K-9 located the man and he was also taken into custody and received medical attention for dog bites.

Evidence was located including firearms, masks and gloves.

The incident is apparently related to an incident a day previous involving a robbery at the same location and is still under investigation.
