Battle Creek Pizza Shop Paid With Counterfeit Bill, Police Investigating

Authorities are looking into a pizza delivery involving fake currency, Monday night.

The delivery was made from Happy’s Pizza on Columbia Avenue to an address in the 100 block of Rose Street.  The order was paid for with a $100 bill, with almost $40 returned as change.  When the driver returned to the store, he suspected the bill was a fake.

Officers investigated, and found that the bill was intended for movie use, and as well, the house the pizza was delivered to turned out to be vacant.

The bill-passer only identified himself as “T” to the driver.
