Battle Creek School Consolidation Meeting Tomorrow
At last Monday’s Battle Creek Public Schools Board of Education meeting, District Superintendent Dr. Linda Hicks presented a plan to close two elementary schools to save the district money.
Lamora Park Elementary is one school being considered.
The schools that were selected for closure were LaMora Park Elementary and Coburn Elementary.
The proposal was met with some criticism from parents in attendance. No vote was held on the plan.
It will be up for consideration at tomorrow’s meeting at the Battle Creek Central High School McQuiston Center at 5:30pm.
