The community of Battle Creek is still in mourning, remembering a longtime volunteer and businessman, Frank Zanetti. Sixty three year old Zanetti passed away on Friday, after being shot in the head at his shop in Battle Creek Tile & Mosaic. Frank, or Frankie as he was more commonly known contributed his time to several charities, including the Food Bank. He also donated funds to help protect endangered African Painted Dogs, at Binder Park Zoo and donated his time and services to St. Jerome Catholic Church. Meanwhile, Battle Creek Police investigators are working with Illinois State Police to talk to 47 year old Brian Zanetti, who was arrested Saturday, on an unrelated charge.
