Joe Piscatella, one of the nation’s leading experts on the impact of lifestyle habits affecting cardiovascular health, will give a free presentation on heart-healthy living from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Monday, Nov. 9, 2015, in the Lawrence Education Center at Borgess Medical Center.

Piscatella’s presentation is titled “Eating Healthy in a DoubleBurger.com World.” He will share his inspiring story of heart-healthy living and provide tips on how to sort out a balanced diet in a world of conflicting claims. Piscatella is the author of 13 best-selling books and is a popular speaker to corporate, association, medical and dental groups, as well as the host of three Public Broadcasting System television specials. He is also a frequent guest on The Today Show, CNN, Fox News and Good Morning America, and is a “guest expert” on WebMD.

Earlier in the day, Piscatella will be a keynote speaker at a free Heart Failure Conference for health care providers. “Crossroads in Heart Failure” will be held from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., in the Lawrence Education Center. The conference will feature various cardiology clinical experts speaking on all aspects of heart failure care across the continuum, and will include topics on evidence-based drugs in heart failure, guidelines for best practice in heart failure, healthy living and lifestyle choices in heart failure, and more.
