Cadbury’s Controversial Easter Egg Changes Are Causing an Uproar
Cadbury has some serious Easter egg on its face.
Cadbury Creme Eggs have come under fire from fans of the sweet treats who are furious that the company has changed its recipe and decided to sell them with fewer eggs in a package.
There's a two-part problem, so let's break this down. The first only affects people in Britain, where Cadbury is replacing its traditional dairy milk chocolate with a powdered mix, which may alter the taste.
The other issue, which should have an impact on everyone, is financial. Cadbury will now sell the eggs in a package of five, instead of six, while keeping the price the same. Needless to say, that's not making customer too happy.
Cadbury announced on Facebook the eggs are coming back, but the top comment made mention of the new packaging, saying, "And there's only 5 in a box now there used to b 6."
Meanwhile, Twitter has exploded in a chorus of disapproval, although Cadbury did try to explain itself.
