GVSU Student Going The Extra Mile
A Grand Valley State University student has opened a bakery and is doing her part to help those with special needs. WOOD-TV reports that Zoe Bruyn runs the Stir It Up bakery in a commercial kitchen in a partnership with Trinity United Methodist Church. All three of Bruyn’s employees have disabilities. Along with employment, Bruyn tries to give them a safe environment, gain confidence and learn valuable work skills.
