Holocaust Survivor Delivers National Anthem At Comerica Park
A lifelong wish of an 89 year old Holocaust survivor has been fulfilled at Comerica Park. According to the Associated Press, Hermina Hirsch was in attendance at Saturday’s game versus the Tampa Bay Rays, where she delivered the U.S. national anthem. The Czechoslovakia native was 17 in 1944, when her family was split up and sent to concentration camps. The Tigers beat the Rays, Saturday, 5-4.
