It’s was an amazing week leading up the NFC Championship, pitting the Lions against the 49ers, and nobody is more pleased with their success than the man literally quarterbacking the historic run for Detroit – Jared Goff.

He has become the number one celebrity in the state of Michigan, and chants of support have broken out in various corners of the state, including hockey games, a Pistons Game, AND, a allegedly at a performance of “Wicked.”

Unfortunately, the Lions lost in a close one, 34-31, after leading by 17 to end the first half. Regardless, though, there’s no hiding that Michiganders are firmly in love with their new quarterback.

His name has been popping up all over the state, most notably in a drone show over Ford Field earlier in the week. But Chants of “Jar-Ed Goff, Jar-Ed Goff” have been popping up in SO many other places too.

The first instance was at a Grand Rapids Griffins game on the west side of the state. Next up was a Red Wings Game at Little Caesar’s Arena, followed by a game at Yost Ice Arena in Ann Arbor for a University of Michigan game, and at a Western Michigan game.

Then, as the week went on, chants breaking out at the Pistons Game the next night, again in Little Caesar’s Arena, and at a High School Cheerleading Competition.

But maybe the strangest place to have heard the chant was at the Detroit Opera House, following a performance of the traveling theatre production of “Wicked.” As the cast was taking their final bows.

OK, THAT one’s a joke, but wouldn’t surprise me if it actually happened at this point.

And finally, despite being outnumbered by the tens-of-thousands in San Francisco, Lions Fans could be heard, cutting through the 49ers fans changing “Jar-Ed Goff, Jar-Ed Goff” following an incredible scoring drive in the second quarter of Sunday night’s game.

Again, it's unfortunate that the season ended like it did, Needless to say, though, there’s a new top celebrity in the state of Michigan, and with Jim Harbaugh on his way to L.A. to coach the Chargers, we might be looking at our next Michigan Man in the making.

We'll get'em next year. Go LIONS! #OnePride
