There is a woman who is from Ohio, who was a lifelong Tigers fan who did something many of us will never be able to achieve by visiting all 30 professional major league baseball parks in one season. Louise McVicker was able to visit all 30 ballparks which was a dream.

Her late husband had before he passed away 22 years ago. Sadly, Louise has joined him in eternal rest, as her son Mitch posted a very heartfelt message, dedicated to his grandmother announcing that she had passed away:

The gift of sports are woven deep within our McVicker clan. With so much of your early love with Grandpa being shaped by watching him play baseball in the 40’s. Where you kept score and championed his love for the game. Your collective love for athletics and the ways it could teach notable life lessons flowed down through our family line. Where we all engaged in this sphere in different ways that edified and equipped us. I will forever be thankful for our ballpark tour last spring and the memories shared with loved ones throughout the trip.
Louise was much loved and clearly made an impact on everybody’s lives that she touched. Last year she ended her tour of every major league baseball stadium in Detroit and was actually able to throw out the first pitch.
We definitely want to extend our thoughts to the McVicker family and thank them for allowing us to get a little insight into her incredible journey last year. Louise accomplished so much in her long life and has finally been reunited with her love.
