Breakfast with Bob, Brunch with Bob, Banquet with Bob…..if you’re a fan of eating and Bob Seger (and who isn’t?) here’s a place to check out.

It’s the “Cat Man Do” bar in Unionville in the Michigan Thumb’s Tuscola County.

Seger fan Dennis Collon’s fervent admiration for Bob led him to pay homage to him by opening this Seger-themed bar and eatery. Everything – menu items included – center around all things Bob. The grand opening was on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 11am, located at 3029 Bay Street (right downtown).

According to an MLive article, Collon’s fanship for Seger made its first ripple in 1967 when Bob performed at the Unionville legion hall at 2960 Cass Street. He was performing in the band incarnation ‘Bob Seger and the Last Heard’ who were making local radio airwaves with “Heavy Music” (the following year a band name change was in order and ‘The Bob Seger System’ continued on with “Ramblin’ Gamblin’ Man”).

After the show, Collon went to a restaurant and was playing pool when Bob walked in…they ended up playing pool together. Further cementing Collon’s dream of a Seger-themed establishment was his nickname, “Cat”, leading to the bar name which was also the name (although spelled differently) of a favorite Seger song.

Okay, he had the name…now what? Collon’s daughter came up with the idea for making everything inside Seger-related. After revamping the old building with new walls, furniture, and paint job, the bar was ready for business and could accommodate sixty patrons.

As for menu selections, they’re all Seger-related.
Appetizers include:
“Against the Wind” – smoked wings
“Feel Like a Number” – cheese sticks
“The Fire Down Below” – wing dings
“Like A Rock” – tater kegs
“Rock and Roll Never Forgets” – onion rings

For Entrees, there’s:
“Her Strut” – breaded chicken strips
“The Katmandu Burger”
“Lookin’ Back” – ham sub
“Roll Me Away” – soup in a bread bowl
“Still the Same” – Italian steak sub

…plus many more appetizers and entrees.
…and for take-out orders, make sure you mention it’ll be a “Travelin’ Man”...
