Michigan Honors Fallen Soldiers by Flying Massive American Flag from Mackinac Bridge on Memorial Day

The Mackinac Bridge walk has become a Labor Day tradition and I'm hoping this becomes a Memorial Day ritual: the Mackinac Bridge Authority hoisted a 30 x 60 American flag to honor fallen soldiers on Memorial Day.

Unfortunately, high winds only allowed the flag to fly for a few hours and it will not become a permanent fixture on the span from the lower to upper peninsula. Enjoy this pure Michigan moment as the 26th state commemorates those who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.
