Roughly 6,000 Homes Without Power on Battle Creek’s North Side Wednesday

High Winds have knocked out power to a large portion of Battle Creek’s north side.

According to Consumer’s Energy’s outage map, the outage began around 9:30am, and affects almost 6,000 customers, in an area that stretches roughly north from Michigan Avenue, and east from the Kalamazoo County line to Capital Avenue.

Power is expected to be restored around 12:15pm, according to Consumers.
