The Salvation Army does a lot of good in the Battle Creek Community, and it's crunch time for vital end-of-the-year fundraising.  The organization works their magic all year long on the donations they get during the holiday season.  Salvation Army Major Kevin Van Zee appeared on the 95.3 WBCK Morning Show with Tim Collins.   He says they're always looking for bell ringers, and donations are down a bit this season.   "It may be that fewer people have been out and about", but we sure could use some bell ringers for the final week before Christmas."  Van Zee says they have a new on-line system to volunteer, but people can still just call them to schedule a time.
