UConn Takes The NCAA Men's Championship
Shabazz Napier led the Connecticut Huskies with 22 points, including 26 in the first half, to drive them to a 60-54 victory in the NCAA Men's National Championship over the Kentucky Wildcats Monday. It's the fourth national title for the UConn men, and second in four years. Napier was a part of both championship teams. Ryan Boatright added 14 in the victory and Niels Giffey chipped in 10. A wounded Wildcats squad was led by freshman and Michigan-native James Young with 20 points and seven rebounds. Freshman Julius Randle put in 10, as head coach John Calipari started five freshman.

Tonight in Nashville the women will determine their title, as the UConn Lady Huskies at 39-0 tangle with the 36-0 Notre Dame Lady Irish. It's the first time two undefeated teams will compete for the women's title.

Pistons Could Be Looking For New President
The Detroit News is reporting this morning the Detroit Pistons president Joe Dumars may be resigning by the end of the week, as his contract is set to expire July 1st. Dumars has spent the last 14 seasons as the President of the Pistons, following a 14-year playing career that began in Detroit in 1985. The Pistons have struggled after signing free agents Brandon Jennings and Josh Smith, and sit at 28-49 on the season. They've only won seven games since firing head coach Maurice Cheeks in February after just 50 games. The Pistons are in Atlanta tonight to take on the Hawks at 7:30pm.

Tigers Begin West Coast Trip Tonight
The Detroit Tigers begin their first road trip of the season tonight with the first of two games against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Tigers suffered their first loss of the season on Sunday in a 3-1 defeat to the Baltimore Orioles. The Dodgers are 5-3 after starting their season in Australia in mid-March. They ended a two-game skid Sunday with a 6-3 victory over the San Francisco Giants. Max Scherzer takes the mound for the second time this season for Tigers, while the Dodgers will counter with Dan Haren. Catch the Tigers tonight at 9:45pm on WBCK!

Red Wings Begin Final Week of Regular Season Tonight
The Detroit Red Wings are getting ready to play back-to-back road games starting tonight in Buffalo against the Sabres. It's the final week of the NHL regular season, with the Wings still holding on to their playoff chances. They currently sit in seventh in the Eastern Conference standing, a point behind the Philadelphia Flyers for sixth with four games remaining. The Sabres own the worst record in the league and look to play spoiler in their last four games. Face-off tonight is at 7pm.
