Standoff in Bedford Ends in Arrest

Officers from Battle Creeks Emergency Response Team and from the Gang Unit surrounded a house in Bedford last night after getting reports that an armed and suicidal man was inside with other people.

Police say they tried to talk with the man when they arrived shortly after 6:45 but no one would respond.  Eventually officers were able to get two men and two women along with a small child to come out.

One of the men was arrested on multiple outstanding warrants and an illegal shotgun was seized.
