Supreme Rules In Favor of Gun Lake Casino

The Supreme Court has ruled in on a lawsuit affecting Gun Lake Casino. The Associated Press reports, Michigan resident David Patchak sued the Gun Lake Tribe in 2008, claiming that the casino, which is about 3 miles away from him, would change the character of the area. Patchak’s lawyer argued that Congress went too far when it passed a law that effectively dismissed his lawsuit. On Tuesday, the Supreme Court ruled that Congress acted within it’s authority.
