It was another pleasant night, in the Motor City, to watch a baseball game, but the weather wasn’t able to produce a win for the Tigers, who lost to the Twins 9-4.

Detroit was first to score in the bottom of the 1st with Mahtook homering to left-field. The Twins came to life in the 4th; scoring three runs off from Anibal Sanchez making it a 3-1 game.

Both teams scored in the 5th with Minnesota scoring two more runs and Detroit scoring two with Romine coming home on a double by Iglesias who then scored on a single by Upton, inching the score to 5-3.

The Twins nudged the score up two more runs in the 7th.  Upton took-up the challenge with a single to center and bringing Kinsler home, taking the score to 7-4.

It continued to go downhill for Detroit with Minnesota scoring two more runs in the 9th off from Chad Bell and pushing the score to a 9-4 win.

The two teams face each other again, Saturday afternoon at PM on WBCK.
