Tow Truck Hit on I-94 Thursday

A tow truck driver was hit by a car on the highway yesterday in the Battle Creek area.   It happened shortly before 11am on Westbound I-94 at the M-66 ramp.  Police say a man coming from southbound M-66 slid out of control and hit the wrecker, throwing the driver of the tow truck into the ditch next to the road.  The tow truck driver refused treatment but the 26-year-old Battle Creek man driving the car was taken to the hospital with a head injury.  I-94 was down to one lane for about an hour while crews were on the scene.
