College officials at the University of Michigan are promising international students that they won’t be sharing their immigration status. The Associated Press reports, the promise follows in the wake of an immigration crackdown by President Donald Trump. According to the Detroit Free Press, President Mark Schlissel issued a statement on Saturday to express support. Schilissel says the university doesn’t “share sensitive information” and campus police officers don’t seek immigration status of people when performing their duties.
