Meet Rudy, this week's Wiggly Tail Wednesday pet of the week. Rudy is about 2 years old, and he's a Labrador, Pointer, Pit Bull mix from Louisiana. And, Rudy is evidence of a cruel world, in that he was abused in his former life down south.

Good news is, these days, he's doing quite well.

As you can see from the picture above, Rudy was quite thin when he came to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan (top picture). You can also see, on his back. someone burned him - probably by pouring something on his back.

The good news is Rudy is a very, very happy boy! He likes to play and make friends immediately.

You can also see the great folks at HSSCM have been building up his strength. Now, ole Rudy is quite the chunk! As they like to say over at the Humane Society, he's "like a linebacker" - and he'll greet you with all of the energy he can muster!

For that reason, Rudy would be best in a home where he can get his energy out - maybe play with a brother or sister (dog-to-dog match ups are part of the process at HSSCM).

Animal abuse is very serious. But in some cases, a second chance is just what a pet needs. Rudy is receiving his second chance now - all he needs is a new home and family to love him.
