Woman Escapes Car-Train Wreck
A Battle Creek woman managed to escape her vehicle, moments before it was struck by an oncoming train in Battle Creek Wednesday.
According to Newschannel 3, the mini-van had stalled on the tracks near Kendall Avenue and Dickman Road. A Battle Creek Police officer happened to be at the intersection when the incident took place and helped the woman evacuate the van.
The van received extensive damage, but there were no injuries.
