Albion Public Safety Officer Under OWI Investigation

The Albion Department of Public Safety has announced that one of their officers is on administrative leave, following an alleged incident of drunken driving.

In a post on their Facebook page, the ADPS says that an officer was involved in a single vehicle crash in Jackson County over the weekend.  The Michigan State Police investigated, and arrested the officer on suspicion of operation while intoxicated.

The officer wasn’t named and more details weren’t offered, but criminal charges may be forthcoming.
