Battle Creek Cereal Killers Skate for Local Shelters

Battle Creek’s roller derby team, The Battle Creek Cereal Killers, hosted a charity event at Kellogg Arena Saturday benefiting two local, non-profit, animal organizations, All Species Kinship and Companion Cats.

The event rolled out at two with four bouts on the agenda, including two womens’ mixed scrimmages, one juniors’ bout, and one co-ed scrimmage. Skaters came to Battle Creek for the K-9s Vs Feline event from all across the Tri-State area.  Team owner and skater for the Battle Creek Cereal Killers, "Bee Naughty", said while the team has held a charity event to help fight breast cancer last October, this is the first one for animal shelter/rescue groups.
