Battle Creek Police Looking Out For Shooting Suspect

Battle Creek authorities are looking for leads in finding a suspect, in a shooting that occurred Friday.

Around 10pm Friday, Battle Creek Police Officers responded to the first block of W. Rittenhouse Ave. on reports of a shooting.  At the scene, a 34-year-old Battle Creek man was found struck by bullets, and taken to the hospital in stable condition. Investigation shows that the victim and two others were in the area of W. Rittenhouse, when a man approached and fired several shots.

Officers brought in a K-9 unit to attempt to find a suspect, but nothing was turned up.  The only suspect information available is that the shooter is male.
