God’s Kitchen Opens GoFundMe Page

God's Kitchen - Battle Creek, a 501(c)(3) evening soup kitchen, has launched its end of the year fundraiser. The goal is to raise $25,000 to keep the evening free dinner program going into the new year. A GoFundMe page has been created to help the charity reach its objective. Donations are also accepted at the charity's website at www.godskitchenbattlecreek.org.

God's Kitchen - Battle Creek is an award-winning soup kitchen incorporated in 2011 to combat hunger on weeknights. To date, 97,000 dinners have been served since October 11, 2011. The soup kitchen currently operates two meal sites in the Cereal City on Mondays from 5 to 7 p.m. at First Congregational Church, 145 Capital Avenue NE; and Tuesdays from 6 to 7 p.m. at Silver Star Apartments, 44 Clark Road N. There is no income requirement to participate.
