If you’ve ever thought about getting into nursing, you have a free opportunity to learn here in Battle Creek; but you have to act quickly.

Kellogg Community College says they are now offering up spots in their Nursing Assistant Training Program, offered through KCC’s Innovative Accelerated Credentialed Training initiative. Students will learn the skills to take the test to become a Certified Nursing Assistant, including technical training in healthcare and a chance to enroll in paid work experience; as well, they would gain access to industry recognized credentials.

Participants will also undergo Basic Life Support and Heart Saver First Aid training.

In order to apply, you need to have proof of a high school diploma or GED, pass a reading test, and meet certain income guidelines. The program runs Monday through Friday from 8am to 5:30pm starting May 13, and applications are due by next Monday, Apr. 23.
