A Battle Creek man who plead no contest in the shooting death of his girlfriend during the Memorial Day weekend was sentenced Monday.

28-year-old Richard Bozell was arrested a few days after he shot Tianna Hunt in the back following an argument at a home on Kendall Street.

Bozell pled no contest to second-degree murder last month and was sentenced to a minimum of 62 years in prison.
