New Mayor For Battle Creek

At a four hour long meeting last night at City Hall, a new Mayor was selected for Battle Creek.

Deb Owens was selected as Mayor after fourteen votes when previous Mayor Dave Walters gave up his own claim and voted for Owens.

The votes had been tied at four to four due to the absence of Susan Baldwin.  The final vote was six to two.

Lynn Ward Gray was then selected as Vice Mayor.
