Services Set for St. Phillip Principal

Services are set for Friday and Saturday for St. Phillip High School Principal Tim May, who died Monday.

The 61 year old  Pennfield Township resident was appointed high school principal in June 2013. He had previously been an educator and sports coach with other public schools in the Battle Creek area.

Visitation and vigil service will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14, at St. Philip Catholic Church. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at noon on Saturday, Nov. 15, at the church.  Arrangements by Shaw Funeral Home.

About 75 students and parents gathered Tuesday afternoon at the Grotto, a shrine to the Virgin Mary in front of St. Philip Church to remember May.
