Suspect Held in Battle Creek Home Invasion

A man is in custody after Police say he broke into the home of an ex girlfriend in Battle Creek last night and attacked her.

It happened shortly after 7:30 at a house on Rittenhouse near Caroline.

Police say the 42-year-old Lansing man forced his way in, assaulted the woman and two other people and then ran.

Officers with tracking dogs followed the man to the area of McCamly and Grove where he was found hiding in a building and arrested.
