Another Michigan politician trying an end around term limits law

Apparently Republican MI Senate Majority leader Richardville is planning an end run on  the term limit law passed in 1992.  His new scheme would allow local lawmakers to gather petition signatures to see if their constituents want them to run again and if they do then so much for the term limits law.

What are your thoughts about this?  Do you believe in term limits and if so what are your thoughts about this politician attempting to bypass the law?
